Between the brown, red, orange, black and green font colors I nearly had a seizure just looking at that.

Ginny, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Distribution of porn to minors is against the law. Simply calling the WBPD to the Library ought to solve your little porn problem. Until you do that, you are just a blowhard and a black eye on an otherwise good city.

Ginny, you are also one of these people who throw a fit when Congressmen pass bills without reading them, right? So why didn't you bother to read these books you are SO upset about?

Step it up GInny, you are starting to bore me.

Sorry to hijack your blog, but here is my comment on G's latest post that she will never let see the light of day. Feel free to move it to your post when you get a chance or I will or whatever.

You are correct I know exactly what to do after reading your link. call you an idiot. did you actually read the information. The point blank supports the message of WRAP. He also supports the 1st amendment. he is saying censorship for any reason is bad. Your analysis is just as shallow now as ever. Keep embarassing yourself and your cause. It will only make others lives easier.

  3. Note that Non-Censor has been banned from Safe Libraries, simply because he had the audacity to point out an error in the post that Ginny copies.

  4. Dan K is really losing it. I posted the comment "Facts = Attacks apparently" and he deleted it. Dan and Ginny really fear conversation, don't they?

  5. Wow. I left a comment simply stating the ban was unjustified and that there was no ad hominem attack. That was deleted as well.

So much for open and honest discourse.

  6. Yeah, how you can read an attack into what Non-Censor wrote is just crazy. Anyone want to see the paranoid letters Ginny and Dan K wrote to CafePress to try and get that shop shut down? Laughable.

  7. Anyone else think it's funny that GM's Eagle FORUM website doesn't even pretend to allow comments? Not much of a "forum", is it? Disagree with GM and get the red font treatment!

  8. Eagle Forum is to Forums as Fox News is to News.

  9. Dan, you're on to something :D.

  12. looks like GMazy may be gearing up for another library fight...this appeared on the sidebar of her blog over the weekend. Pretty sure this came straight from the defunct West Bend Parents for Safe Libraries site.

"YOUR LIBRARY: NO LONGER A SAFE PLACE
The West Bend Community Memorial Library and members of the SHARE Library System (to include Germantown, Slinger, Hartford and Kewaskum) no longer can be considered SAFE FOR CHILDREN.

    Your library board believes:

    1. All materials should be available for all ages (anything goes). Really!
    2. National control cannot (and should not) be resisted; therefore, the disturbing value system of the ALA, OIF,WLA trumps local control of the library by the citizens and taxpayers it serves.
    3. Young adults are children ages 11 through 17. (Be sure to address your 11 year old in a manner appropos.)
    4. Assisting parents in identifying sexually explicit materials within your library is not important to them.
    5. You must stay with your children and read each book he/she checks out to assure they are not entering into the YA Zone, that is, the "Yes to All Zone."
    6. ..that if other people's young children (even younger than 11....) are openly reading books of a sexually explicit, graphic nature, say nothing...and by all means, don't stop them from checking them out. You, too, can have an 8-year-old snag "The Joy of Sex" off the shelf right here in your very own library!
    7. ..that porn filters are not required, therefore, none are needed. True loyalty to the many children they serve. After all, we would not want to restrict freedom of speech to those young'uns!
    8. ...that organizations such as SafeLibraries, PFOX, PABBIS, and Family Friendly Libraries, that work to protect children from being sexually victimized are not welcome in our community.
    9. That the excerpts listed below (WARNING: NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN) are perfectly acceptable for the eyes of children.

This is a propagana battle to ensure children retain access to inappropriate mateial despite the law, common sense and community standards.

PARENTS, TAXPAYERS, CITIZENS OF THE SHARED LIBRARY SYSTEM OF THE WEST BEND COMMUNITY MEMORIAL LIBRARY.......

YOU NO LONGER ARE A TAXPAYING SUPPORTER AND/OR PATRON OF A FAMILY-SAFE LIBRARY."

  13. I don't think that post indicates that Ginny is going to move against the library again, but if that is the case, so be it - plenty of people around fixing to serve another big can of whoopass (for Ginny, will need the institutional size). This post seems to be more indicative of a whale flopping on the beach, making it's last gasps for air.

Gotta love the "taxpaying" part - she doesn't live in the City of West Bend - if she doesn't like what they are doing, her township or county are free to withdraw.

  14. Calling people "taxpayers" drives me up a wall. Same with describing people as "homeowners". Who cares? Everyone is a taxpayer and being a homeowner doesn't make you more qualified than a renter to talk about most things. May as well describe people as "breathers" or "humans".
