West Bend School Board "FEASTS" on Taxpayer $$$$$$

...Today, Ginny Maziarka continues her ranting against pretty much anything involving the school board...

  1. Are there ANY jobs in which you don't get at least one free meal a year? Development and relations aren't free.

Also, I love the "savings to taxpayers...PRICELESS" line that comes immediately after listing the exact costs.

  2. I know many have speculated about how much Ginny and her group has cost the school district over the years and how many hours various school employees have spent on her ORRs and other demands. I'm sure it is light years more than the $750 for the annual meeting/meal. Maybe she should spring for it this year...

  3. Would take a hell of a lot more than $26 to fill Ginny's pie hole, tru dat!

  4. What Ginny failed to mention from her "source" was that the letter sent out (which was really a response to an ORR placed by Judy Steffes at the WBDS) by the superintendent included figures on what the cost has been to the district from Ginny and crew's ORR. How convenient that she omits/withholds information that MIGHT cast her in an unflattering light.

Also, question for Ginny (I know you're reading this) - why are you SO up in arms about the amount spent for refreshments and dinners? Do you not work at St. Joe's Hospital? When you have the little extras (staff get togethers, special treats) who pays for that? Do you split the cost between those benefitting or partaking? Or do you pass the cost on to the patients through increased medical expenses? You CANNOT have your cake and eat it too - oops, you, Ginny, most certainly can and have.

  6. Here's what was included in the response to an ORR by Judy Steffes at the Daily News. Interesting that Judy includes what she thinks will sell papers and didn't include any of this data in any press - nice job, Judy! That's responsible reporting.

In Herdrich's response she said that the district started tracking ORR in the 08-09 school year. Four individuals (not including ORR from the media) have filed a total 16 ORR. It has cost the taxpayers approximately $1003 for clerical staff hours in responding to ORR. This does not include Herdrich's time or other administrators' time in responding to requests. The legal bill for these ORR have totaled $14,915 for the 08-09 school year. That's one helluva big piece of cake for Ginny and her compatriots. And yet she can scream about a retirement dinner, a leadership retreat, and expenses related to an opening week assembly? She's costing the taxpayers some big bucks and thinks NOTHING of that. Time to look in the mirror, Ginny, and be your own morality police officer.

One East or West High School science dept budget is $9,000 to 10,000 or less.

And what have these ORRs proved? not much a simple phone call or email would have acquired for free.

  8. Gotta cut Judy Steffes some slack - it takes lots of time biking around the Bend looking for new/revamped signage on various businesses to report on. I'm waiting for her report on when the Dick's Pizza sign comes down.

  10. Ginny will continue to cost the taxpayers thousands of dollars because she and Mary Weigand will continue to place ORR to rid the district of immorality. GAMazy and Gardening Girl will stop at nothing to further their agenda. Stomped down regarding the Day of Silence. Shut out concerning the harassment policy. Nailed at the knees in the community library book issue. Three losses - when will they get the message? Never, I suspect.
