BOGUS BANNED BOOKS WEEK BITES

...Ginny Maziarka copies someone else's post critical of the ALA's Banned Books Week celebration (which is this week)...

  1. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Maziarka, all by herself, is one of the best examples of why Banned Books Week is still critically needed. Her naked attempt to remove (and later just to restrict access) to books for political reasons reaches the very essence of censorship.

I've been doing a little bit of both since all this started. This woman's a prime example of why people should need to take some sort of test before they're allowed to reproduce.

  3. She also took that from a relatively benign librarian blog and from a librarian who I would suspect thinks Ginny is completely wrong in her silly crusade.
